Mauna Kea

Kauai's interior peaks, especially Mount Waialeale, anchor one of the wettest places on Earth, averaging over 400 inches of rain annually, and the erosion that rainfall has produced over millions of years has carved one of the most deeply cut mountain interiors anywhere in the United States.
